Testosterone Cypionate Dosage Calculator
Testosterone cypionate comes pre-mixed in oil at a stated concentration (usually 200 mg/mL), so you are not reconstituting — you are converting mg to volume. Enter the vial's total mg and total mL and the calculator handles the rest.
This is a unit converter. It converts an amount you already have into volume and syringe units. It does not tell you what to take, and it is educational only — not medical advice. Confirm every amount with your clinician and your product label.

1 cc of testosterone equals how many mg?
1 cc is the same volume as 1 mL, so 1 cc of testosterone at 200 mg/mL is 200 mg. At 100 mg/mL it is 100 mg, and at 250 mg/mL it is 250 mg. The milligrams always equal the volume in cc multiplied by the concentration printed on the vial.
1 cc = 200 mg at 200 mg/mL — that is 100 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
| Volume | U-100 units | 50 mg/mL | 100 mg/mL | 200 mg/mL | 250 mg/mL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.25 cc (0.25 mL) | 25 units | 12.5 mg | 25 mg | 50 mg | 62.5 mg |
| 0.5 cc (0.5 mL) | 50 units | 25 mg | 50 mg | 100 mg | 125 mg |
| 0.75 cc (0.75 mL) | 75 units | 37.5 mg | 75 mg | 150 mg | 187.5 mg |
| 1 cc (1 mL) | 100 units | 50 mg | 100 mg | 200 mg | 250 mg |
cc and mL are identical units of volume. Insulin syringes are marked in units: 100 units = 1 mL = 1 cc. Reference conversions only — your prescriber sets your dose.
Testosterone cypionate doses reported in research
The figures below are doses reported in published clinical trials or, where no human trials exist, ranges reported anecdotally. They are reference data only. DoseRoutine does not recommend doses — your prescriber decides yours.
| Phase | Dose | Frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical TRT total | 100–200 mg | Per week | Split into two injections in most modern protocols. |
| Twice weekly | 50–100 mg | Every 3–4 days | Smoother levels than a single weekly shot. |
| Daily subcutaneous | ~14–28 mg | Daily | Flattest curve; smallest volumes. |
| Bloodwork | — | At 6–8 weeks | Trough total T, free T, oestradiol, haematocrit. |
Reference ranges reported in the literature and in common practice — not a prescription, and not personalized advice.
What trips people up
- At the common 200 mg/mL, 100 mg = 0.5 mL = 50 units on a U-100 syringe.
- Insulin syringes are marked in units, not mL. 100 units = 1 mL. This is the single most common mix-up.
- Cypionate is an oil — subcutaneous injections need a slower push and often a slightly longer needle than water-based peptides.
- Haematocrit rises on TRT for many people. It should be checked regularly, not assumed.
How the math works
- Concentration (mg/mL) = vial mg ÷ bacteriostatic water mL.
- Volume per dose (mL) = dose mg ÷ concentration.
- Syringe units = volume × 100 on a U-100 syringe, or × 40 on a U-40 syringe.
- Doses per vial = vial mg ÷ dose mg. Water volume never changes this number.
Testosterone cypionate calculator FAQ
1 cc of testosterone equals how many mg?
1 cc is the same volume as 1 mL, so the milligrams depend on the vial concentration. At 200 mg/mL, 1 cc = 200 mg. At 100 mg/mL, 1 cc = 100 mg. At 250 mg/mL, 1 cc = 250 mg. Multiply the volume in cc by the mg/mL printed on the vial.
How many mg is 0.5 cc of testosterone?
At 200 mg/mL, 0.5 cc = 100 mg. At 100 mg/mL it is 50 mg, and at 250 mg/mL it is 125 mg. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 0.5 cc is the 50-unit mark.
Is 1 cc the same as 1 ml of testosterone?
Yes. A cubic centimetre (cc) and a millilitre (mL) are the same volume, so 1 cc of testosterone is 1 mL. Only the concentration in mg/mL changes how many milligrams that volume contains.
How many units is 100 mg of testosterone cypionate?
At 200 mg/mL it is 0.5 mL = 50 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. At 100 mg/mL the same dose is a full 1 mL = 100 units.
How many units is 200 mg of testosterone?
At 200 mg/mL that is exactly 1 mL, which is 100 units — a full U-100 syringe. Many people split this into two 50-unit injections across the week instead.
Is it better to inject testosterone weekly or twice weekly?
Twice weekly (or more often) produces smaller peaks and troughs, which many clinicians prefer for stability and for reducing oestradiol swings. The total weekly milligrams stay the same.
Can testosterone cypionate be injected subcutaneously?
Yes — subcutaneous injection is now widely used and generally as effective as intramuscular, with smaller needles. It can cause more local irritation with thicker oils.
