Editorial & review policy

Who writes and maintains this content
DoseRoutine content is produced and maintained by the DoseRoutine editorial team — the same small team that builds the interaction checker and compound library. Pages are published under the DoseRoutine organisation rather than individual bylines because each page is assembled from a shared, versioned data set rather than written once by one person.
What we source from
- Peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed — referenced by PMID or DOI on the pages where a specific claim depends on a study.
- Regulatory and label data — DailyMed prescribing information, manufacturer labels, and monograph data for dosing ranges and contraindications.
- Established reference databases for pharmacokinetic basics such as half-life, route, and metabolic pathway.
Interaction entries are built on mechanism (shared enzyme pathway, additive effect, absorption competition) rather than anecdote. Where the evidence is thin, the page says so instead of implying certainty.
How often it's reviewed
Compound and interaction pages are reviewed on a rolling cycle, and immediately when a reader reports a problem or a source changes. Every page carries a machine-readable dateModified in its structured data so search engines and AI assistants can see how fresh it is.
AI disclosure
Some long-form library copy is drafted with AI assistance and then edited and checked by our team against the sources above. Dose ranges, interaction severities and contraindications are not left to AI output alone. Our full AI disclosure lives on the AI policy page.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, tell us at support@doseroutine.com with the URL and, if you have it, the source that contradicts us. Substantive corrections are made and the page's reviewed date is bumped. We don't quietly delete errors.
Independence
DoseRoutine does not sell supplements, does not take payment for inclusion in the library, and does not accept payment to change a severity rating or a recommendation. The product is funded by subscriptions.
Not medical advice
DoseRoutine is a health and fitness reference tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for a licensed clinician or pharmacist. Always confirm changes to what you take with a professional who knows your history.
