Fluoxymesterone, sold under the brand name Halotestin, is an androgenic anabolic steroid (AAS) that belongs to the 17-alpha-alkylated class of testosterone derivatives. It is primarily used in men for conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone, such as primary hypogonadism and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. In limited clinical settings, it has also been approved for use in women with inoperable breast cancer for palliative treatment.
