Epitalon (also written epithalon) is a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide — alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, glycine, abbreviated AEDG. It was designed in Russia as a synthetic stand-in for epithalamin, a pineal-gland extract studied there from the 1970s onwards.
