Tesamorelin Dosage Calculator

Tesamorelin's licensed dose is 2 mg daily, but research vials come in several sizes. Enter yours below to get the exact insulin-syringe draw.

This is a unit converter. It converts an amount you already have into volume and syringe units. It does not tell you what to take, and it is educational only — not medical advice. Confirm every amount with your clinician and your product label.

What trips people up

  • 10 mg + 2 mL = 5 mg/mL, so the standard 2 mg dose is 40 units on a U-100 syringe.
  • Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue — it amplifies your own pulses rather than replacing GH, so effects build over months.
  • It can raise IGF-1 and worsen glucose control. Monitoring both is standard practice.
  • Contraindicated in pregnancy and in active malignancy.

How the maths works

  1. Concentration (mg/mL) = vial mg ÷ bacteriostatic water mL.
  2. Volume per dose (mL) = dose mg ÷ concentration.
  3. Syringe units = volume × 100 on a U-100 syringe, or × 40 on a U-40 syringe.
  4. Doses per vial = vial mg ÷ dose mg. Water volume never changes this number.

Tesamorelin calculator FAQ

How many units is 2 mg of tesamorelin?

At 5 mg/mL (10 mg vial + 2 mL BAC water) it is 0.4 mL = 40 units on a U-100 syringe. At 2 mg/mL (10 mg + 5 mL) the same dose is 100 units — a full syringe.

How much BAC water for a 10 mg tesamorelin vial?

2 mL is the most common, giving 5 mg/mL and a clean 40-unit draw for the standard 2 mg daily dose. 1 mL halves the volume to 20 units if you prefer smaller injections.

Is tesamorelin dosed daily or weekly?

Daily. Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, tesamorelin has a short half-life and the licensed protocol is 2 mg subcutaneously once every day, usually at night.

How long until tesamorelin works?

Visceral fat changes in the pivotal trials were measured at 26 weeks. This is a months-long compound, not a weeks-long one.
